Springtime? I Wonder Where?!

Saturday's weather was pretty crazy around here. We had rain, sleet, hail, and snow! Big, fluffy white flakes fell for over an hour. I know that March is supposed to come in like a Lion and out like a Lamb, but I think that this year has been just a bit confused. Hope the sun remembers how to shine in April!!

Who does she look like??

Everyone thinks that Penny looks just like Theo. I on the other hand see Sarah when I look at her. In this picture I think that you might just see a little of me in those cute little cheeks and that pretty little smile! Just a grandma talking!!

Me and the Girls!

Ashley really loves Penny.
She likes to get really close and Penny always smiles at her. I think they will grow up to be very good friends!

Penny & Papa

Here is Penny & Papa practicing smiling---I'm not sure who is the cutest!

Easter Sunday, Family & Friends

Everyone came to our house for Easter dinner this year. Jim, Michelle, Deryck & Ashley. Andy, Sarah, Theo & Penny, the Olalla Lewis' plus Tyler & Danny, Uncle Daniel, and the Schenkleberg family joined in, Nick, Becca & Amy. We had way too much food and lots of fun. It was rainy, so the egg hunt had to be indoors again, but the kids still had a good time. I really love holidays!! I took the traditional Grandkid picture--aren't they the cutest bunch??

Sugar-T Theo

As a grandmother, I notice things about the kids that I like to share. Theo is turning into quite the dare-devil. He loves to run, and climb, and try just about any dangerous thing an 18 month old boy can find! Recently he had a run in with a trike, and here is a picture of the result! I wonder if he will be a prize fighter someday like Papa Snooks!

Welcome Penelope!

We had a Welcome Penny reception and open house at our home on Saturday. We invited lots of people who know Andy & Sarah and they stopped by for goodies and a chance to hold Penny. When the Lewis family comes down it is always so busy at church and this way everyone could just be together and visit, and most importantly....hold Penny!

Egg Dyeing--Arnold Style

We did our annual Easter egg coloring the week before the holiday. We were very adventurous this time. We made sparkle princess eggs and manly camouflage eggs. I am amazed at all the different styles of egg dye there is out there!! It was fun, and very colorful. Can't wait to find them all!

Blue & Gold

Friday night we had the opportunity to attend our very first Grandson Blue & Gold scout banquet. Deryck is in scouting this year, and seems to really enjoy it. The banquet's theme was the Chinese New Year and they had a cake auction. The boys made the cakes (with the help from the Moms) and the guests at the auction (Grandparents) bought the cakes! It was a fun time. Deryck's Den was in charge of the flag ceremony and they did a very good job. Papa and I won the cake from Deryck's den (Surprise!!) and we shared it with all the boys and their families. It was a good evening; food, fun, family, and grandkids! What more is there?
