Moose Magic!

So last night we went to the Mariner's game. We tried to cheer them on and bring back a win, and in the first inning it looked like we were successful!! Downhill from there, wasn't it? We took a moment and had our picture snapped with my favorite player! Some guys come and go, but you can alway depend on the Moose! I know this is just a temporary set-back. October, here we come!!

Going, going, gone!

After Family Kitchen Friday night, we headed up to B'ham for another round of house painting. The weather wasn't very cooperative, and so we painted in between squalls. All of the yellow is now on the house, the doors are completed, and just some painting on the window frames remains. (and the garage and the fence and the way upper trim!) Saturday morning I took a tumble off of the step ladder, landed on my rear, banged my head, and now I am gimping around a bit. Fortunately, nothing is broken--just my pride! I must remember to always back down the ladder. Hard lesson to learn!

I tried to get some shots of Theo, but now that he is walking, it is a magical feat to catch him when he is standing still! I now understand why Andy post's so much video--that child is never still!!

Family Fun and Hard Labor!

We spent the weekend in B'ham helping the Lewis Clan paint their house. It was very hard work, but lot's of fun. There is such a contrast between the before and after! They picked very sunny, upbeat colors and now their home will look like a little cottage, picket fence and all!

On Sunday we celebrated Theo's 1st Birthday (a week early) and did he have a good time! Carrot Cake, Ice Cream, books, drums and toys!! So much fun in such a little bit of time! I personally think he is growing up waaaaaaay to fast! Deryck and Ashley were there to share the fun, so were lots of family and friends.

Deryck's Birthday

Here are some pics from Grandson Deryck's 9th birthday party August 11. It's hard to believe he is that old already!! We took out a birthday cookie to their camping spot and as you can see, the cookie was a big hit.

Today we are headed to B'ham to help paint the Lewis abode and to celebrate Grandson Theo's 1st birthday on Sunday. He will be a year old on the 27th. Where has all the time gone! I feel sometimes like the aligator is right on my heals, nipping!
