Easily amused, aren't we? This little guy was very persistant. The big gray squirrels usually run off the little reds. They must have been out raiding a bird feeder somewhere else! He got the peanuts, and he didn't even fall!
Is It Raining Yet? or Still?
The Front
So, Summer Project, Phase One is complete. The front yard is all spruced up. We have weeded, trimmed, mulched, weeded, barked, planted, weeded, and trimmed some more. Sherm's weather station is installed and now we can moniter the weather from the comfort of the study. (Crazy old people you are thinking!) Now all we have to do is finish up the back yard!! And weed. Every day. Ah, home ownership!

Back to Real Life
So we came back home and rescued George from the vet. We tell him he is going to the Spa! Four days later we had to take him back. He has been worrying over a toe and look what he is now wearing until it is all healed up!! The things we do to our pets.
He has actually done very well, we just can't stop him from licking his foot. Hope it heals up soon.
Ashley
Theo and the Basket Ball
As you can see from these pictures, our Theo is planning to be a big star someday! I think he will need to be a little bit taller, but he sure has the moves! As he carries the ball along, he stops occasionally to dribble, very professional don't you think?

Summer Project Progress
So how is the Summer Project going you ask? Mother's Day weekend we took the old swing set up to B'ham for Theo and Penny. Deryck and Ashley went along with Uncle Daniel, Papa, Grandpalew and Grandmalew and Memaw for the weekend (Ashley thought it was camping because we got to sleep in a sleeping bag! Memaw camping? Hah!!). We all got up early Saturday morning and by 5:30 the swing set was assembled, installed, cleaned up, and barked in! Everyone worked hard and it was a real fun time. Now Theo the Daredevil has his own jungle-gym----how can he be old enough already?? Here are some pictures of all the family working together!
Ashley's Mother's Day Tea
I was invited to join in for Ashley's pre-school's Mother's Day Tea! It was a chance to see where she spends her days and have lemonade and cookies with her and Michelle. She was very proud of her school and showed me all around. The playground seems to be her favorite spot!! I also got to see the plant she is growing and lots of her art work. It's a nice place for her to bloom and grow!!
Mark's 7th Birthday
Mark has been in our lives since the very beginning. He is like our extra grandkid! Each year we get invited to his "family birthday". This year was a Pokemon event to remember! He had lots of fun opening stuff, and we even got to help him put stuff together. Last year it was Batman & Spider man, before that it was Rescue Heroes, I wonder what's next?
I think I can hear the aligator again....tic....tic....tic.
Music Man and Baby Sister
Theo and Penny came for a visit, Uncle Daniel fixed Theo up with an mp3 player and some head phones. He really likes to rock out to the music! I wonder where this love will take him?
Penny was just being cute, as usual. We dressed her up in a new outfit just because! She is much better than a Cabbage Patch!!
