Back Yard again!

Some how I got the end before the beginning! Here Sherm, Randy and Daniel are digging the post holes for the arbor. They got to use lots of man stuff for their project, and I think that made them all very happy!!

Other stuff

We spent a lot of time playing games and reading and playing DS and eating and all the other stuff you do on vacation. So of the quiet times were my favorites.
But, all things must come to and end. This is a picture of us all packed in the car to head home. We had so much stuff surrounding us that we reallydidn't need our seat belts!! We wore them anyway--

Tide pools and Geoducks!

We spent lots of time looking for stuff in the tide pools and in the sand. Ashley, Deryck and Jim and Michelle joined us for one weekend and we had lots of fun digging in the sand. It's amazing how fast a geoduck can move when you are trying to catch him! It didn't stop Ashley and Michelle and Uncle Randy from giving chase!

How I spent my summer vacation-2008

So where all did you go? you ask--I've shown you Birch Bay, we also went to Lynden, where we had these fantastic pancakes. The Dutch really know how to serve a breakfast! We also went up to Blaine to show Randy and Genine the Peace Arch. There was a fun afternoon spent at Guymas Island looking for sea glass (which we found lots of!) and we even hit the casino at Tulalip. Randy was the big winner, he even treated us all to dinner. It was a very good visit, lots of fun and family!!

Summer Visit

I think that this was what Genine enjoyed most this summer. She was a very good baby-rocker! I think she was practicing up for her grandson's arrival!!

Summer Project Continued

So, remember the remaking of the patio? Uncle Randy helped Sherm a lot while he and Genine were visiting. After we returned home from Birch Bay they really made progress!! Here are some images. Theo was "helping" Papa! The last photo is of Sherman placing the very last stone! Now the real work begins! The whole rest of the yard will now go through the make-over process. Stay tuned!!
