Memories, from one generation to the next.

Sunday there was a rite of passage here at the Arnold home. We passed on Grandpa Snook's fishing pole to Deryck and Jim. We also sent along a small pole that was Daniel's and then Sarah's. It was fun to watch the boys; Deryck, Jim & Sherm, out in the yard casting and reeling and untangling the line from the trees and bushes. Dad's pole has hung in our garage for over 23 years waiting for someone to come along who would love to fish. Hopefully Deryck will be the one! Wish I had taken pictures, but sometimes memories are just made to be shared, not viewed.

A birthday bouquet arrived on Thursday to help Sherm continue his celebration.
No thorns on these flowers!!
just sweet tastes and blue lips!!

Deryck has thrown a few casts each night after homework this week. He really enjoys practicing and if he keeps this up we will never be able to keep him out of the fishing holes come next summer. Thank you so much, he really is thrilled!
