Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

We girls talked the boys into taking us to the Annual Stitch & Pitch at the Mariners game. All the knitters and crocheter sat together and enjoyed our two favorite past times--stitching and baseball! This was also Theo and Penny's first trip to the Big Show!

As you can see, they both were having a great time! We had on our official Mariner's team gear and we really had great seats (though a bit up high for my tastes!)
Here we are all enjoying just spending time together and watching a good game (our side even won!)

Andy taught Theo all the moves for Louie, Louie and he really got into the dancing. He wanted to see the moose, but this is as close as he would go! "All Done, All Done Daddy!" Maybe next time he'll want to get a little better look.
A good time was had by all. Ah, but once again I hear that crocodile......tic, tic, tic. When did they start to grow so fast?

4th of July pictures

Just wanted to share some fireworks pictures!
My favorite thing, next to Grandkids.

Mark & Ashley

I found this very sweet picture of two of my favorite little people. They are deeply engrossed in a DS game. Such a studious pair!

What else did you do this summer?

So, what else did we do besides work in the yard? After Genine and Randy returned home, Judy and Larry came for a week. We traveled up to Victoria so Judy and I could get our Buchardt Gardens fix! It is one of our favorite places to visit. We went to the Mariner's game, and to the horse races for Fireworks! We spent the 4th freezing overlooking the bay at the Simpson's, and we went to see the Tall Ships in Tacoma. Judy and Larry visit about every other year, and we always pack a lot of fun and friendship into their visits. Bar-b-ques, pinochle,movie--all the things we used to do together when we lived 5 minutes apart. Now the distance is farther, but the friendship is still just as rich as ever! Here are a few highlights....

The Transformation is Complete??? For Now!

So Sarah tells me that I need to get my blog caught up, and she is totally right! So, here are the last of the yard make-over pictures. For Sherm's birthday, he wanted sod--weird right? But look at the results! After 18 years of working, changing, planting, moving plants, moving plants again, it is finally finished. Of course, it will need taking care of and probably more planting and moving and stuff, but now it is great! I love sitting out on the patio and reading and sipping tea. That isn't happening right now! I don't like to sit out there in my raincoat!!! But wait until spring!
